I was once told happy girls wear colour but I'd rather wear Rue de Mail. This fashion partnership between Martine Sitbon and self confessed non conformer Jimmy K W Chan is a three year long project from visionary foundations. Rue de Mail's spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection is charcoal grey, nudes and androgynous tailoring challenged by feminine fabrics. Sitbon describes her design ethos as 'poetic feminine sensibility and uniquely urban sharpness'. Either way her clothes have been favoured by Sofia Coppola, Lou Doillon and Anita Pallenberg. This is a label for style assured women with a disregard for gimmicks.
A personal insight into fashion, exploring its relationship with broader cultural themes. This blog will provide current information on people, places, and ideas influencing the contemporary fashion space.
